Skills Workshops: «Live better – Ευ Ζην»
Ready-made lessons on health, the body and mental health, organised by age for Greece's Skills Workshops (Εργαστήρια Δεξιοτήτων).

What the «Live better – Ευ Ζην» theme is
Greece's Skills Workshops were added to kindergarten, primary and lower secondary school as new thematic cycles. There are four: «Live better – Ευ Ζην», «I care for the environment», «I care and I act» and «I create and I innovate»[1].
The «Live better – Ευ Ζην» cycle includes, among others, self-care, safety and prevention, health education, nutrition, sex education, addiction prevention and mental health[1]. Those are exactly the topics Essense covers.

How it helps teachers
A ready plan
Every lesson has goals, activities and sources, ready for the workshop hour.
Activities, not lectures
Discussion, role play and anonymous questions: tools that fit the workshop approach.
Transparency for parents
Parents see the material before the lesson. Fewer questions, fewer worries.
Skills Workshops use Skills Cultivation Programmes approved by the IEP[2]. Essense is not currently an approved programme. Always check the IEP's current guidance for your school.
